The website for Super Home Surplus was a very large project, just ask anyone involved! It included stocking the newly designed online store with thousands of products, pictures and descriptions. Vauxite Creative worked side by side with our friends over at SHS, answering questions and helping them take control of the newest part of their business.

Before there was Vauxite Creative, there was The Nomadic Project. The Nomadic Project was a conceptual art exhibit by our own Award winning artist, Kristin Abraham (Llamas) and musician, Alfonso Llamas. The project toured the country for thirteen months, expressing their emotional, physical and historical experiences through art. For the five year anniversary, the project is redesigning the website (in progress), as well as adding some exciting Facebook features.

DirectBuy is a name people are familiar with all across the country! So when the owners of the Cool Springs location wanted Vauxite Creative to re-design their site, we were all very excited. The goal of the re-design was to merge the style of the national site with the feel of the local site. What resulted was a beautiful design with seamless integration!

The NFL Alumni: Tennessee Chapter President Al Smith is a good friend of Vauxite Creative. So when the Chapter needed a new website, we were happy to provide it with one. The site has a simple, yet elegant design. The site also has capabilities to easily expand, in case the Alumni wants to add content in the future.

Middle Tennessee Head Football Coach Rick Stockstill and CoachStockstill.com is where it all started for designer Joe Abraham. Abraham was offered a scholarship to Middle Tennessee, after Stockstill saw some of the work he had done while attending the University of Alabama. At the time Stockstill presented him with the project, Abraham had only basic HTML knowledge. Over the next year, Joe learned Adobe Flash, as he was building the site and attending school. He eventually grew proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, and produced an interactive and fun recruiting website for Coach Stockstill. The site included just about everything! Video, Flash animation, a blog and even backgrounds available for download. By the time Abraham left the University for Vauxite, it was an essential tool in the recruiting process. He had spent over 2 1/2 years and hundreds if not thousands of hours working on it. Control of the site was handed over to the Recruiting Office after his departure.

Bryan Landscaping is a CMS (Content Management System) based site with a fun, first person landing page. This was the first time we had incorporated the two, and we were really happy with the result! Company owner Max Bryan also commissioned Vauxite Creative to do a new logo and business cards! We also learned a lot about the local flora, as we implemented a catalog of trees indigenous to Middle Tennessee.

Site Features:

• Content Management System- For easier information storage and access.
• First Person Design- Visitors to the site get a first person experience, which is a unique design style.
• Image Galleries- Image rotators show examples of the many jobs Bryan Landscaping handles.

Love Allyn is a handmade baby clothing line based out of Franklin, TN. We decided this site needed the same feel as the products it would be displaying. It has a fairly simple e-commerce framework, with a good bit of graphic work, photography and flash. Even a minimalist design can look great!

Site Features:

• Basic E-commerce- Fairly simple structure, not many bells and whistles.
• Flash Animation- The homepage includes a slideshow element, as well as a marquee image menu.
• Photography- All photos on the site were taken by Vauxite Creative.

If the name Kristin Llamas sounds familiar, you have probably already heard of the up and coming artist. Or you have visited the About Us page and seen that she has been a part of Vauxite Creative from the very beginning. Although Kristin works with the company, she is first and formost an artist. Because her site is largely image based, Vauxite Creative went with a design that would center around her work. The site has a very unique homepage and navigation. We believe the site portrays Kristin’s artwork, and creative abilities to the viewer.
